Yesterday, Hillary Clinton finally testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee in what will likely be her swan song as the outgoing Secretary of State. Although Secretary Clinton personally assumed all responsibility, today there is little or nothing more known about the attacks on our consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, which killed four Americans. And the only light shed on the subsequent cover-up and deception of the American people was that Clinton vehemently denied having anything to do with the now-infamous “talking points” that have largely sunk the career of Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice. As expected, most Democrats and a number of Republicans simply tossed softball questions during the hearings, which mostly turned into a sort of “thank you tour” for Mrs. Clinton’s many years of public service.

Thankfully, some Members ruffled the “iron lady’s” feathers.

When challenged by Senator Ron Johnson as to why the American people were intentionally misled for days and weeks following the attacks, Secretary Clinton became openly confrontational, emphatically gesturing and raising her voice to say… “What difference, at this point, does it make?”
Does telling the truth matter to anyone in the Obama administration? Or is it simply an option when all other paths have been tried and it becomes politically expedient to do so? Sadly, the cover-up continues. The Obama administration simply will not tell the truth to the American public about these crucial events – unless it serves their purpose at some point or they are forced to by an irate public.

Meanwhile, the White House website continues to make this declaration from the President… “My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.”

Nice rhetoric. But as the President and all propagandists worth their salt well know, a phrase repeated enough often becomes the perceived truth – even if it is based on sheer deception.

Come on, Mr. President, there is zero transparency in your administration!

There is even less openness. And accountability is nonexistent to this Teflon President and his loyal circle of surrogates.The question remains: Why did the White House lie to the American people for many weeks after the attack – blaming a ridiculous anti-Muslim video for the disaster when, in reality, the administration knew within 24 hours that this was a pre-planned, well-orchestrated terror assault on a U.S. Embassy? Isn’t the most likely answer to that question that Barack Obama’s handlers crafted a lie to give the President political cover until after the election? It has been a huge victory for the Obama administration to have delayed this inquiry not just past the 2012 election, but even past his second term inauguration!

Even after Hillary Clinton’s much-anticipated testimony, most of the critical questions have still not been addressed, and in fact aren’t likely to be addressed, unless grassroots Americans demand a full and thorough congressional investigation into what is now correctly being called “The Benghazi Cover-up.”
