The corporate leadership of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is considering caving in to pressure from pro-homosexual activists and exposing the Troops to openly practicing homosexuals in positions of leadership. That was the radical policy change proposal in their February meeting. On the day of the BSA Board of Directors’ vote, Liberty Counsel delivered a petition with over 20,000 names calling on the board to stand firm and buck the societal pressure, as Scouts are often called to do. I believe that our efforts coupled with the work of many other organizations created enough of an internal conflict that the vote was postponed until May.
Help the Boy Scouts remain “morally straight”
The Scouts’ Oath for Boy Scouts and their leaders states… “On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country. To help other people at all times, to obey the Scout Law, and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” Many of the Boy Scouts’ original rules of conduct were based on biblical values. Many churches serve as home base for BSA Troops across the nation.
Are the Scouts willing to give up that base of support in order to gain Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transexual (LGBT) acceptance and financial support from corporations that have already complied with the radical activists’ demands?
The LGBT agenda has no place in the Scouting program.
As I mentioned, the BSA’s executive leadership and its Board of Directors are under extreme pressure to change their decades-old policy of banning openly practicing homosexuals from participating in the Scouting program. Several of their sitting board members are leaders in major corporations who have already implemented pro-homosexual advocacies within their organizations. Now they are pressuring the BSA to do the same – or face the possibility of losing their financial support.
In May, this proposal will arise again – and likely be voted upon at a special BSA Board Meeting which could reverse the longstanding policy of prohibiting openly active homosexuals from BSA participation and begin the drastic decline of an organization that has long made a positive contribution to the moral climate of our nation.
I am calling on every Liberty Counsel supporter to sign a petition that will be delivered prior to the BSA meeting calling on the organization to…
•NOT COMPROMISE its moral integrity.
•NOT CAVE IN to those who promote social engineering within the ranks of the BSA, and
•NOT ALLOW POLITICAL CORRECTNESS to destroy the character and effectiveness of the Scout movement.

Is there nothing that is sacred any more? Please do not cave in to the immoral requests of a few who do not seem to have the same moral values as the Boy Scouts are suppose to stand for. Stand firm and be one of the "few" who don't have to be "politically correct".

I have three sons, all Eagle Scouts. The scouting program has given my sons and many other young men great and important strengths, attributes and skills and taught them important moral values like courage, patriotism, empathy, and much more that they each use every day as they live in our increasingly wicked world. These things should not be taken lightly and the Boy Scouts of America should hold fast to the high moral ground no matter what comes.

Why do we not boycott AT&T. Let's hit them in the pocketbook - that will get their attention. We could tell them if their CEO vote for approval, we'll drop our use of AT&T

I was a Boy Scout back in the 1950s, and it was a wonderfil experience which shaped my life. But there was one dark side to my scouting days, we had a gay scoutmaster who had an affair going with at least one of the boys in our troop. Back then, homosexuality was a totally foreign lifestyle to boys in their early teens. Of course, we made jokes about it among ourselves because we didn't know exactly how to handle the problem. We never told our parents because we were too embarassed and uncomfortable to discuss it to an adult. That scoutmaster passed away years ago, and I have no idea what happened to the boy after he grew up. The arguement supporters have for allowing gay scoutmasters is that being gay does not mean these individuals will approach the boys for sexual contact. I know that claim to be a lie. Stay "morally straight" BSA, and do not invite homosexual foxes into the scouting henhouse.

Stand strong Scouts! You are the future leaders of our country. I fear that God will not protect our country if homosectual leaders are in charge. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah!
