Bashing Israel as it blesses the world (Christians in Defense of Israel)

At the same time Israeli innovation and aid efforts are helping the world and saving lives, the United Nations is working overtime to punish the Israeli economy. Click here to read and sign the Israel Anti-Boycott Act petition!

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is hopelessly bigoted toward Israel. America’s Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley called it a “cesspool of bias” last month as she announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Israel-bashing body.

Fully 25 percent of the country-specific resolutions adopted by the UNHRC since 2006 have censured Israel—the one Middle East democracy and a nation where Arabs enjoy more freedom than anywhere else in the region. By contrast, the UNHRC criticized Iran’s radical Islamic regime just eight times.

The UNHRC targets Israel with alleged “punishable offenses,” but overlooks the enormous good the Jewish state performs worldwide.Israel has a long tradition of international humanitarian aid. That includes technical assistance to underdeveloped countries and relief for nations hit by natural disasters, or facing food or medical emergencies.

Earlier this week, 12 boys and their soccer coach were rescued after being trapped deep inside a cave in Thailand for more than two weeks. And one key reason they’re out is a sophisticated Israeli communication system donated to the rescue effort by Maxtech in Israel. And, as reported by the Jerusalem Post, “Israeli humanitarian aid organization IsraAID deployed an emergency response team to western Japan Monday, two days after torrential rains and floods began.”

+ + Israel assists friends and enemies alike.

Case in point… The Jerusalem Post is reporting on Israeli aid to Syrians displaced by fighting on the other side of border where a multi-sided civil war has raged since 2011.

“The IDF has been providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance to Syrians on the Golan Heights – all while maintaining the principle of noninvolvement in the Syrian civil war – as part of Operation Good Neighbor launched in June 2016.”

Israel is also sending humanitarian aid into Gaza, ruled by Hamas which wants Israel annihilated. It’s doing that even though Hamas is sending arson kites into Israel. These airborne firebombs spark fires and have ravaged more than 30,000 acres.

Yet the UN is condemning Israel not Hamas. It blames Israel for closing the only cargo crossing with Gaza–Israel’s penalty until Hamas stops sending arson kites. But the UN ignores the fact that the IDF allows food, medicine, and humanitarian aid to pass.

+ + Israel steps up as the UN tries to knock the nation down.

The UNHRC is producing a blacklist of Israeli, American and other firms doing business inside Israel’s disputed territories.

The blacklist is an open threat designed to intimidate and scare businesses out of the region. The Council’s goal is to support the BDS movement (boycott, divestment and sanctions), suppress business investment, and cripple the Israeli economy.

The Israel Anti-Boycott Act is a shield to protect American businesses, as well as Israeli firms and Israel itself, from international boycotts–including UN efforts to wage economic war on Israel.

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs passed the Israel Anti-Boycott Act (H.R. 1967) more than two weeks ago. The bill now goes to the full House for a vote.

+ + Congress must act before the UN releases the blacklist threat!

We are calling on Congress and President Trump to act NOW and approve the Israel Anti-Boycott Act in order to protect American businesses from U.N. and international harassment.

Congressional action is needed before financial damage is done to American firms conducting business in Israel and grave harm is done to the Israeli economy.

This bill is a vital safeguard for Israel and firms doing business in Israel’s disputed territories.

We need an additional 9,000 signers as quickly as possible. That’s why I’m asking you to make your voice heard now!

Thank you for taking immediate action on behalf of Israel and American businesses!

God bless you,

Mat Staver

P.S. The strength of the Israeli economy and their tremendous advances in technology, science, and software make it possible for the tiny nation to come to the aid of other nations in crisis anywhere in the world. The UN’s assaults on the Israeli economy and U.S.-based business must be stopped. Click here to read and sign the Israel Anti-Boycott Act petition!
