Blockbuster White House email leak (Christians in Defense of Israel)

News broke Friday that White House senior advisor Jared Kushner wants to “disrupt” UNRWA, the “corrupt, inefficient” UN relief agency for Palestinian refugees. And a vital, much-needed first step to make change happen is to pass the UNRWA reform act in Congress. Find out below why this measure is so needed and join me in urging Congress to approve it now! – Mat.

Big news! A leaked White House email reveals Trump senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner wants to “have an honest and sincere effort to disrupt” UNRWA, the UN relief agency serving Palestinian “refugees.”

“This [agency] perpetuates a status quo, is corrupt, inefficient and doesn’t help peace,” Kushner wrote in a January 11 email, according to Foreign Policy magazine.

The White House doubled down on that message Sunday. “UNRWA’s mandate has perpetuated and exacerbated the refugee crisis and must be changed,” an unnamed senior Trump administration official told Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

A powerful new vehicle to reform UNRWA now awaits action in the U.S. House of Representatives. You can join others now in calling on Congress to approve this must-pass measure.CLICK HERE NOW to add your name to our petition.

+ + Why this matters to you

I’m not a fan of White House leaks but the push to “disrupt” UNRWA is welcome and overdue.

Here’s why. Since 1949, American taxpayers–people like you and me–have sent some $7 billion to UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees). Last year, American taxpayers gave $368 million to UNRWA.

But instead of resettling the 700,000 Arabs who fled when the Arab world invaded Israel in 1948, UNRWA made the refugee crisis much worse. It inflated the refugee population by defining refugees to include descendants, not just actual refugees.

Then it transformed itself into a sprawling welfare agency–offering food, housing, education, health care, even micro-finance to this ever-growing population. The number of so-called refugees now tops 5.3 million people scattered across Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon!

And all of them, says UNRWA, which sides with the PLO and Hamas, have the right to return to Israel–a demand Israel utterly rejects.

+ + UNRWA prolongs the refugee crisis . . . and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

In short, UNRWA perpetuates not just the refugee crisis, but the Israel-Palestinian conflict, too. Which is why it’s so critical you and I support the UNRWA Reform and Refugee Support Act now.

This much-needed legislation limits American aid to UNRWA to actual refugees only—not their millions of descendants. At the same time, it seeks to aid Palestinians in need through other channels.

Bill sponsor Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) declared:

“We must return UNRWA to its original framework and address this false narrative of an inflated refugee population, which has made a mockery of both those who are true refugees around the world and those who are truly living in deplorable conditions throughout the region.”

If you agree that Congress should pass Lamborn’s bill, the “UNRWA Reform and Refugee Support Act,” CLICK HERE NOW to add your name to our petition.

Thank you for joining me!

God bless you.  God bless the USA. God bless Israel.
