Christians raped and murdered in South Sudan

I recently received a shocking and disturbing email about fellow believers who recently came under attack in South Sudan. Soldiers from the Sudan People’s Liberation Army raided a Christian college and began breaking doors and windows. They forced their way into houses and looted the compound. Two of them raped the 14-year-old daughter of a staff member.

“A few days later, the soldiers returned to Emmanuel Christian College and stayed for another three days. They raped another 14-year-old girl, an orphan who lost her mother last year.”

When I read the entire update, I was outraged. The animals accused of committing these atrocities aren’t members of ISIS. They’re government-supported soldiers of neighboring Sudan! This targeting and persecution of Christians must be stopped. But at the same time, we need to support our brothers and sisters in harm’s way.
