We will deliver those petitions prior to the pivotal meeting in just 7 days between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. It’s crucial that your voice be heard! Click here to add your name to the petition – and see my important update below — Mat.
In 7 days, President Trump, our sitting president and avowed friend of Israel, will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss a wide range of issues including Israeli settlements, regional threats, Iran sanctions, and moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
While the Trump administration recently suggested new or expanded Israeli settlements “may not be helpful” in achieving peace, it also said, “we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace.”
And that is certainly true.
For 50 years, the United States has attempted to force upon Israel a failed land for peace policy. It hasn’t worked. Giving control over Gaza to the Palestinian Authority has resulted in the Hamas terrorist government takeover. Jews can no longer live in Gaza.
Bethlehem is no longer a safe place for Christians, and signs at the entrance warn Jews not to enter. It is time to honor Israel’s right to self-determination and to stop imposing our failed solutions on the sovereign state of Israel.
+ + Mr. President, move that embassy!
The time has long since come to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, the eternal and undivided capital of Israel. Jerusalem was established by King David as the capital of Israel 3,000 years ago. To not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel defies the historical record and is anti-Semitic.
Christians in Defense of Israel urges President Trump to move the Embassy to Jerusalem. Delay or failure to move the Embassy to Jerusalem will be seen as a sign of weakness that will embolden those who are intent on wiping Israel off the map.
Christians in Defense of Israel’s petition to President Trump calls for his administration to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and we will deliver them just prior to this very important upcoming meeting. We need as many petition signatures as possible for maximum impact. Click here to immediately add your name to this vital petition.
+ + Ambassador to Israel Nominee is the Right Person for the Job
I joined 70 Christian leaders on Tuesday to meet with David Friedman, President Donald Trump’s nominee as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. Having met him, I believe David Friedman is the right person to represent the United States to Israel.
Friedman is an Orthodox Jew whose father was a rabbi. Ronald Reagan spoke at his father’s synagogue. Friedman loves Israel and he loves America. We have a historic opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Israel. This opportunity to forge stronger bonds between the two nations could not come at a more critical time.
Mr. Friedman said he looks forward to carrying out his duties from “the U.S. embassy in Israel’s eternal capital, Jerusalem.” He will also make his home in Jerusalem.
We need EVERY friend of Israel to take part in this petition drive. One click here and your name will be automatically and immediately added to the petition.
God bless you. God bless Israel. God bless America.
Mat Staver, President
Christians in Defense of Israel
P.S. Again, in this new era of U.S. – Israel relations, Christians in Defense of Israel is petitioning the Trump administration and other U.S. leaders to move the U.S. Embassy to the City of David. The city of Jerusalem is not just the rightful capital of Israel, sacred to the Jewish people. It is also home to the holiest places of the Christian faith. Sign now so we can deliver as many petitions as possible prior to the February 15 meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
