Historic! (LCAction)

It’s reported that over 114 million people watched the Super Bowl yesterday that featured an epic comeback and overtime victory.

Tomorrow, a strangely similar historic event will likely unfold in the United States Senate.

After all of the committee hearings and numerous interviews, the Senate is reportedly deadlocked in a tie over the confirmation of Betsy DeVos, President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Education. If a tie remains, Vice President Pence, who is also president of the Senate, will cast the deciding vote. This event is historic in that it is reportedly the first time a vice president will cast the tie breaking vote for a cabinet nominee.

While three more confirmation votes are scheduled to take place this week in the Senate, the Democrats are placing obstacles at every juncture.

President Trump begins week three with “only seven nominees confirmed – the same number President Obama had on his first day of office,” as reported by The Hill. According to the Daily Signal, five of the past six presidents had most of their entire Cabinet installed by their second week in the White House.
