Last year, former President Obama’s radical pro-LGBT agenda forced a highly unpopular and unwise policy into the ranks of our military by opening the barracks’ doors to transgenders during a time when our troops were extensively engaged in international conflict and deployed world-wide.
In response, a Military Times/Institute for Veterans and Military Families poll found that “57 percent of active-duty military personnel expressed a negative opinion of the decision to allow transgender troops to serve openly. More than half of that group said the policy change had a very negative effect on military morale.
As the Center for Military Readiness recently reported, “With so much at stake… lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) activists continue to influence and enjoy officially-recognized access to Pentagon policy-makers on an exclusive basis. Many members of Congress, the media, and the public have no idea how extreme the Obama-era transgender mandates really are.”
+ + President Trump reversed Obama’s directive.
President Trump announced on July 26 that the U.S. government will not allow so-called transgender people “to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military,” reversing the Obama administration’s ill-advised policy. Secretary of Defense James Mattis is charged with the review and implementation of the policy.
+ + Liberty Counsel Action opposes the Gillibrand/Collins amendment!
We believe that military readiness is paramount to our national defense. This is no time to divert attention to promote and fund transgender service within the ranks of our military!
Because the vote on the Gillibrand/Collins amendment could come any day now, we must take quick action.
+ + The NDAA must not get bogged down by senators engaging in the transgender debate!
As Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said of the NDAA, “The National Defense Authorization Act is one of the most important pieces of legislation that comes before the Senate each year. It is, after all, the measure that authorizes the resources, the capabilities, and the pay and benefits that our men and women in uniform need to perform their missions.”
Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain said, “The NDAA starts the process of rebuilding our military after six years of devastating cuts to our defense budget… [T]he NDAA seeks to strengthen accountability and streamline the process of getting our warfighters the equipment, training, and resources they need to succeed.”
Today, consider joining with many other concerned Americans in calling for senators to defeat this untenable NDAA amendment!
Thank you for taking action on behalf of our men and women in uniform!

P.S. The President has kept his promise to return to military priorities by not continuing the transgender policy that undermines unit cohesion, preparedness, and morale. The military is a unique community of people and not the place for radical social agendas.
Now, LGBT advocates in the Senate want to undermine the President’s planned policy. It’s our responsibility to tell our elected officials what we think of their attempted delay of the policy.
