“Open political war” threatens U.S. – Israel relations (CIDI)

It’s reported that an “open political war” is brewing between the State Department and the White House due, in part, to Obama administration holdovers directing Middle East policies originally crafted under former President Obama. That is bad news for U.S. – Israeli relations, and likely the reason why the U.S. State Department’s outrageous “Country Reports on Terrorism 2016,” recycled parts of its old reports that intentionally whitewash and overlook the Palestinian Authority’s agenda for violence.

Adam Kredo of the Washington Free Beacon reports, “the State Department is waging an open political war, which includes policy insubordination and press campaigns, against the Trump White House.”

“The tensions have fueled an outstanding power battle between the West Wing and State Department that has handicapped the administration and resulted in scores of open positions failing to be filled with Trump confidantes. This has allowed former Obama administration appointees still at the State Department to continue running the show and formulating policy, where they have increasingly clashed with the White House’s own agenda.”

+ + The U.S. State Department is fostering animosity toward Israel!

Instead of providing careful assessments of the PA’s recent incitement to violence against Jews, State officials put a sympathetic Obama administration arm around Palestinian terrorists and points the finger at Israel for creating an environment that fosters terrorism against Israeli citizens. And the report ignores the Palestinian “Pay to Slay” policy and other incentives for violence against Israel.

If the State Department closes its eyes to the Palestinian Authority’s open support for violence, it only gives them a green light to continue.

Christians in Defense of Israel is calling on Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to retract this very disturbing report – and to get their facts straight before reissuing a revised report.

Join us in working to right this blatantly biased report that will certainly fuel further acts of terror and increase animosity toward the Jewish state.

This CIDI petition will be delivered to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, key members of Congress, and Ron Dermer, Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S.

P.S. The State Department has indeed gone rogue regarding Israel and the Middle East conflict. Rep. Peter Roskam, co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, recently condemned their report in a letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Christians in Defense of Israel joins with Rep. Roskam in confronting the U.S. State Department for their “numerous mischaracterizations.”
