Palestinian official trashes U.S. aid (CIDI)

World Israel News reports that a senior Palestinian official, Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud al-Aloul, reportedly trashed U.S. aid to the Palestinians and encouraged his people to increase their resistance against the Jewish state:

“‘[T]he entire Palestinian leadership’ is of the opinion that American administrations – all of them — ‘have not given the Palestinians anything of substance but rather worked in order to pull the rug out from under their feet by exerting pressures on them, and that with all their might they support [the Palestinians’] enemy.'”“Al-Aloul also used his platform to encourage the Palestinians to ‘strengthen the popular resistance’ against Israel, stressing that it ‘is being carried out on a permanent basis,’ incited by Fatah, the PA’s ruling party. This call to violence is in direct contravention of the Oslo Accords. It also calls into question statements made by Palestinian leaders that the PA supports only peaceful protests against the Jewish state.

The greatest threat to “peace” in Israel is the all-consuming goal of radical Islamists to eliminate the one Jewish nation in the world—the tiny land of Israel. Palestinian acts of aggression must be stopped! This is all the more reason why Christians in Defense of Israel supports President Trump in his decision to withhold Palestinian aid:

“We pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. With the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?”

Christians in Defense of Israel has been calling for U.S. taxpayer “aid” to the Palestinians to be cut until there is accountability, a verifiable cessation of payments to terrorists, and the Palestinian Authority agrees to talk peace in the Middle East!

+ + “Anything of substance”

That’s how senior Palestinian official Mahmoud al-Aloul labels the estimated $700 million American taxpayers send to the Palestinians each year to UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, and in so-called “aid” money to the Palestinian Authority.

Outrageously, the U.S. Government has reportedly donated nearly $6 billion over several decades to UNRWA with NO accountability on how those funds are disbursed.

But that’s not all.

Last year, the Palestinian Authority paid a reported $347 million to terrorists and their families. The Senate has yet to take action on the Taylor Force Act, which would prohibit the Palestinian Authority from making those payments or face defunding. As you likely know, Christians in Defense of Israel endorses the Taylor Force Act.

It is time for our nation’s leadership to take a hard look at how our taxpayer dollars are being used. In the case of the Palestinians, the United States government must stop turning a blind eye to these actions that are against international law and are horrifically unconscionable.
