From the Desk of:
Mat Staver, President
Liberty Relief International
Today we vividly recall September 11, 2001, when America was mercilessly attacked by al Qaeda terrorists. Almost 3,000 of our fellow Americans died that day and many more have succumbed since as the result of exposure to elements at Ground Zero. Many others were severely injured.
On September 11, 2012, four Americans were killed and many more injured when Islamic terrorists launched an assault on our Benghazi, Libya, consular facility.
But today, we are also remembering, praying for, and assisting the victims of Hurricane Harvey in southeast Texas and Louisiana. We will not forget that they need assistance even as Hurricane Irma is raging in Florida.
Early estimates for the damage caused by these two vicious storms are approaching $300 billion and Irma isn’t done yet. Many people have lost their homes, businesses, and everything they have spent their lives working for. Water, food, clothing, and encouragement are all desperately needed. Watching the devastation unfold is heart breaking.
