President Trump has one week. The pressure is mounting. (CIDI)

The Jewish Press announced last week, “After over 20 years of waiting, the American Embassy in Israel is finally set to be relocated in Jerusalem in early December – unless President Trump signs a waiver delaying the move for six months.” Therein lies the rub.

President Donald Trump has promised to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. Yet he signed a six-month waiver on June 1, 2017 to delay the move. The second waiver deadline occurs on December 1, just over a week from today.

Christians in Defense of Israel is calling on the President to move the Embassy! Click here to immediately join in our call.

+ + The pressure is mounting!

Earlier this month, the House Oversight and Government Reform panel met to discuss the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel’s capital.

Several experts testified, including former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton who endorsed the move and said, when questioned, that the time to announce the move is “today.”

Bolton dismissed the objections of some who say moving the embassy, as required by law under the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act, would harm Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. In fact, he said, “shifting the Embassy would have an overall positive impact for U.S. diplomatic efforts.”And he had no patience for those who—after 22 years

want to further delay the move. “Too often, in diplomatic speak, not now means not ever. We must reject that counsel and move the embassy to Israel’s capital city,” Bolton insisted.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), co-chairman of the Congressional Israel Victory Caucus, urged Trump not to sign the waiver again, adding that Israel is not “giving up Jerusalem,” despite Palestinian demands.

“To me, Jerusalem is off the table,” DeSantis said. “We have to put that embassy there and say this is Israel’s eternal capital, and we shouldn’t have any delusions that somehow Israel is going to be giving up Jerusalem.”

+ + Mr. President, move the embassy!

In every country worldwide, the U.S. embassy is in the host nation’s capital. It’s time for President Trump to make good on his own campaign promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the embassy! Right now my heart is stirred to double our efforts to push President Trump to finally move our U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, where it belongs.

If possible, I want to reach 100,000 signatures on the national “Move the U.S. Embassy” petition. Please stand with Israel today by clicking here or on the link below to sign:

By signing the national “Move the U.S. Embassy” petition, you’ll send a strong, clear message to the Trump administration and leaders in Congress.

P.S. Contrary to anti-Israel rhetoric, moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is the proper action for the U.S. to take. And, it does not undermine the Middle East peace process, according to expert testimonies given to Congress earlier this month.

As Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) said, “December 1 is a critical date because we have another waiver. It would be a great message that this president could send on the 50th anniversary of re-unification that we go ahead and finally move the embassy to the eternal capital of Israel, Jerusalem.”
