The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) funnels millions in "aid" money to so-called Palestinian "refugees" while true refugees living in squalor suffer. Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) has introduced a bill to help correct this abuse. See my important message and call to action below — Mat.

The UN created UNRWA in 1949 to provide short-term relief and resettlement for some 700,000 Arabs. The UN's initial charge to the new agency was to resolve the refugee crisis and terminate direct relief "not later than 31 December 1950."

But instead of solving the problem, UNRWA perpetuated it. Today, nearly 70 years later, the number of so-called "refugees" has ballooned to more than 5 million!

The reason? UNRWA inflates the count by defining the descendants of Palestine refugees as refugees, too. No other relief agency counts refugees this way but UNRWA.

The number of actual Palestinians refugees–people who left Israel in 1948–is now said to be around 30,000. But it could be even less. A classified 2015 State Department study reportedly indicates some 20,000 living refugees–a fraction of the 5.3 million claimed by UNRWA.

America has given $7 billion to UNRWA since its creation–much of that money misspent to perpetuate the refugees crisis not solve it. Congressman Doug Lamborn has a solution. He recently introduced a bill to reduce U.S. UNRWA aid, limiting it to actual refugees while cutting off refugee descendants. In a statement, he said:

"We must return UNRWA to its original framework and address this false narrative of an inflated refugee population, which has made a mockery of both those who are true refugees around the world and those who are truly living in deplorable conditions throughout the region."

If you agree that Congress should pass Lamborn's bill, the "UNRWA Reform and Refugee Support Act," CLICK HERE NOW to add your name to our petition that will be delivered to House leadership in support of the common sense bill.

+ + President Trump's bold move.

The Trump administration decided in January to withhold $110 million from UNRWA, which is notorious for its pro-Palestinian tilt. Following the decision, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas threatened violence at a U.N. meeting by warning:

"Six million refugees–who will take care of them? If you stop your assistance to these six million refugees who are educated, if you end your assistance, they become terrorists or refugees in Europe. It's either that or you continue to support UNRWA"

Abbas is complicit in spreading the false narrative and in fueling terror.

+ + Here's how UNRWA spends the money it gets from the U.S. and others:

According to the Washington Free Beacon, UNRWA sponsors anti-Israel indoctrination programs in Palestinian schools and community centers. And UNRWA

"has a 'cash assistance' program that involves literally handing out cash to people in Gaza and Syria. There is no accountability or oversight for these disbursements, which in 2016 amounted to $192.3 million. These cash handouts undoubtedly involve an enormous amount of waste, fraud, and diversion of funds to terrorists and other bad actors."

We are calling for accountability and for Congress to take action accordingly. The "UNRWA Reform and Refugee Support Act" is a good first step. CLICK HERE NOW to add your name to the petition calling for the bill's passage.
