Trump admin rejects embassy move critics (CIDI)

While Muslim extremists demonstrated their "rage" over President Trump's historic recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley doubled down against Israel's detractors.

On Friday, speaking to the United Nations Security Council, Ambassador Haley pulled no punches in reminding the U.N. body that when it comes to peace in the Middle East, they are part of the problem, not the solution:

"Over many years the United Nations has outrageously been at the world's foremost centers of hostility towards Israel. The U.N. has done much more damage to the prospects for Middle East peace than to advance them. We will not be a party to that. The United States no longer stands by when Israel is unfairly attacked in the United Nations. And the United States will not be lectured to by countries that lack any credibility when it comes to treating both Israelis and Palestinians fairly."

Shortsighted leaders from France, Germany, and Britain have criticized the President's "unilateral" decision to recognize Jerusalem and move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
This weekend in a number of media interviews, Ambassador Haley again reminded their audiences that Israel is a sovereign nation and has declared Jerusalem as their capital city. Its origin as Israel's capital dates back to King David. The United States is now recognizing that reality.  And, she reiterated that President Trump is simply doing the will of the American people by enacting a congressional mandate 20 years delayed.

+ + Let there be light in darkness!

Today, Jewish people around the world begin celebrating Hanukkah. The Festival of Lights looks back to another time of great darkness.

The Temple had to be cleansed and rededicated after Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated it, triggering the Maccabean revolt.
There was only enough light for the menorah to burn for one night, and it would take a week to prepare a new supply of the consecrated oil. But they lighted the candles anyway, and the menorah burned for a full week!
Even though two thousand years have passed, this story is still remembered as a wonderful reminder of God's love and provision.

Over the next 8 days, let's join together in prayer for the Jewish people during this season of celebration and rededication. Let's pray for an end to Muslim violence and rage. Let's pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, as God instructs us to do in Psalm 122:6.

In announcing this historic Middle East policy shift, President Trump remarked, "Peace is never beyond the grasp of those willing to reach it." Together, let's support the President's reach for peace. I believe that the President is on the right path. Join us in declaring, "I Stand With President Trump And His Pro-Israel, Pro-Jerusalem Agenda"

God bless you. God bless the USA. God bless Israel.
