U.S. to retaliate against the U.N. (CIDI)

October 13, 2017

From the desk of:
Mat Staver, President
Christians in Defense of Israel

The U.S. is taking retaliatory action against a rogue U.N. agency notorious for its anti-Israel bias and glaring lack of fundamental reform.

This is great news since Christians in Defense of Israel has petitioned the Trump administration, the State Department, and other pro-Israel officials to “Stop the United Nations’ Assault on Israel!” Yet, there is far more to be done!

Dear Friend,

On Thursday, the U.S. State Department “notified UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova of the U.S. decision to withdraw from the organization and to seek to establish a permanent observer mission to UNESCO” because of “the need for fundamental reform in the organization, and continuing anti-Israel bias” according to a State Department press release.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon said, “The organization’s absurd and shameful resolutions against Israel have consequences. Today is a new day at the U.N. where there is price to pay for discrimination against Israel.”

+ + Hit ’em where it hurts!

United States taxpayers contribute a reported $80 million per year to UNESCO which is roughly 20% of their income. The director-general of UNESCO, expressed “profound regret” over the State Department’s decision, but failed to address their role in forcing the Department’s hand after repeated warnings.

In July, in retaliation to outrageous and anti-Semitic resolutions passed by UNESCO, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cut an additional $1 million from Israel’s U.N. membership dues.

Stopping the U.N.’s and UNESCO’s assaults on Israel is precisely what the United States government should be doing!

That’s why Christians in Defense of Israel’s “Stop the United Nations’ Assault on Israel!” initiative, calls on the Trump administration, United Nation ambassadors, and the 115th Congress to take swift and formal actions to punish the U.N. for its unrelenting anti-Israel bigotry.

Because of the State Department’s decision, we are redelivering our “Stop the United Nations’ Assault on Israel!” petition — with a note of gratitude to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Click here or on the banner to be included in the delivery.

+ + There is more to be done!

Defunding UNESCO is a good first step, but our tax dollars are being used to foster hate and violence against God’s chosen people via other United Nations actions, including egregious and potentially harmful reports from their Human Rights Council.

Raafat Alayan, a Fatah leader in Jerusalem, said these resolutions confirm “the right of the Palestinian people to resist the Israeli occupation…” — which certainly indicates acts of terror.

It is infuriating that YOU AND I, as American taxpayers and Christians, are funding the U.N. and their anti-Israel biases at a staggering $3 BILLION PER YEAR – almost a quarter of the organization’s entire annual revenue.

That’s why I’m asking you to take immediate action on behalf of Israel. Click here or on the button below to automatically add your name to the our “Stop the U.N.’s Assault on Israel” petition:

Thank you, in advance, for taking action today.

God bless you. God bless Israel. God bless America.

Mat

P.S. Christians in Defense of Israel is working to “Stop the United Nations’ Assault on Israel!” by calling on the Trump administration, United Nation ambassadors, and the 115th Congress to take swift and formal actions, including defunding the U.N. and its anti-Semitic factions.

UNHRC reports and UNESCO resolutions are blatantly anti-Semitic. And they invite Palestinian resistance against the Israeli “occupiers.”
