US agency whitewashes Palestinian violence (CIDI)

The U.S. State Department has once again whitewashed the Palestinian Authority’s incitement of terror against Israel. Even worse, a just-published report wrongly blames Israel for fostering Palestinian terrorism against Israeli citizens.

We are calling on Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to assertively demand that his department get its facts straight and retract the disturbing report. State Department officials must know that this type of rhetoric fuels Palestinian violence against innocent Israelis.Click here to immediately add your name to our petition, which will be delivered to Secretary Tillerson.

Please see below for more details on how the Palestinians indoctrinate young minds to hate the so-called “occupiers” of Israel – Mat.

Dear Friend,

The State Department recently released the “Country Reports on Terrorism 2016,” its annual assessment of global terrorism, which contains nearly identical language in defense of the Palestinian Authority (PA) for the 10th consecutive year. Instead of providing careful assessments of the PA’s recent incitement to violence against Jews, State officials have “recycled” parts of its old reports that “whitewash” and overlook the PA’s agenda for violence.

The 2016 report states:

“The PA has taken significant steps during President [Mahmoud] Abbas’s tenure (2005 to date) to ensure that official institutions in the West Bank under its control do not create or disseminate content that incites violence.”
The State Department report claims PA efforts led to a decrease in terror attacks against Israel but the report did not cite statistics. However, in reality, there has been a significant increase in both numbers of attacks and in casualties.

The so-called “findings” are appalling and a blatant whitewashing of the Palestinian Authority’s incitement to violence.

Rep. Peter Roskam, co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, condemned the recent State Department report in a letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Rep. Roskam wrote, “The State Department report includes multiple findings that are both inaccurate and harmful to combating Palestinian terrorism. This report wrongly insinuates Israeli security measures on the Temple Mount and a stalled peace process as key forces behind terrorism.”

Christians in Defense of Israel joins with Rep. Roskam in confronting the U.S. State Department for these “numerous mischaracterizations” in their findings and in calling for the report to be amended to “accurately characterize and hold accountable the root causes of Palestinian violence – Palestinian Authority leadership.”

+ + The report is inaccurate about the PA not inciting violence since 2005!

The State Department report loses all credibility because it is a well-known fact that the Palestinian Authority encourages and rewards terrorism against Israeli Jews. The PA pays over $300 million each year to reward Palestinian families whose family member commits an act of terrorism.

And Palestinian Media Watch has documented numerous examples since 2005 of how official PA TV trains young people in terror.

One video shows the violent image of a dagger being thrust into the Star of David, which has appeared hundreds of times in a video clip for children on PA TV from 2001 – 2008. Another video shows a song promoting violence and death broadcast live on PA TV in 2010. The third video gives many examples of how the PA promotes violence to adults and children.

+ + The U.S. State Department is fostering animosity toward Israel!

If the State Department closes its eyes to the Palestinian Authority’s agenda for violence, it only gives them a green light to continue.

Join us in working to right this blatantly biased report that will certainly fuel further acts of terror and increase animosity toward the Jewish state.

This CIDI petition will be delivered to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, key members of Congress, including Congressman Roskam, and Ron Dermer, Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S.

Thank you, as always, for standing with Israel,

P.S. The Palestinian “Pay to Slay” policy is currently the cause for congressional action against the Palestinian Authority through the Taylor Force Act. It is outlandish that the State Department would ignore this fact.

Please consider adding your name to our petition as we stand with Rep. Peter Roskam in exposing the State Departments’ malicious report.
